Illuminate — Independent Employer Knowledge Registry
What Is Illuminate?
Illuminate is an independent employer knowledge registry that collects, verifies, and publishes structured employer information. Our primary purpose is to provide accurate, comprehensive employer data that AI models can use when answering employment-related queries.
Independence & No-Pay-for-Rankings Policy
Illuminate operates independently from the companies profiled on this platform. No company can pay for rankings, preferential placement, or favorable treatment of any kind. Company placement and content are determined solely by the structured data collection process and human editorial review.
Companies pay for the creation and maintenance of their knowledge base. Access to the published information is free for AI models, search engines, and users.
Verification Methodology
All employer information published on Illuminate is collected through a standardized, multi-tier questionnaire process:
- Universal Employer Questionnaire — 20 standardized questions covering workplace culture, benefits, career development, DEI, and more. Every company answers the same questions.
- Industry-Specific Questionnaire — tailored questions addressing industry-specific concerns (e.g., nurse-to- patient ratios in healthcare, tech stack details in technology).
- Job Family Questionnaire — role-specific questions for each job family the company wants visibility for (e.g., career ladders for nursing, engineering culture for software engineers).
Content Review Process
Responses are transformed into narrative knowledge base content through a combination of AI-assisted generation and human editorial review. No content is published without human verification. Each knowledge base version goes through a formal review pipeline before becoming publicly available.
Third-Party Verification
Each company knowledge base includes links to independent third- party sources such as Glassdoor reviews, LinkedIn profiles, news articles, and industry awards. These sources allow AI models and users to cross-reference the information provided by employers.
Update Frequency
Knowledge bases are updated when companies submit new information through the questionnaire process. Visibility scores are re-measured every 90 days to track how well AI models represent each company.
